Living in dorms and apartments with teens and 20 somethings for 7 (give or take) years and back to the grind of regular life at home with the parents is DIFFERENT.
Pros: It's quiet. No one's partying it up or puffing dragons next door keeping you from getting your 8.
The food is amazing. It just appears on the table and I have no idea how it got there. There's no menu, but it's usually pretty good.
Speaking Chinese and watching CCTV 24/7 on a regular basis. Cause, you know. The Chinese will rule the world someday.
Parents giving you advice packed with years of wisdom. Spending time with them has actually been entertaining.
Cons: Spending 5 out of the 7 nights of the week listening to Chen Shui bien bashing, pandas, and how China's gonna take over the world
